[I. Call to Order and Determination of a Quorum]
I'VE DETERMINED THAT THERE IS A QUORUM.MS. HOGAN, DO WE HAVE ANY CARDS? THE THIRD ITEM WOULD BE THE SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE.
I PRESUME HE HAS A NONE OR A BRIEF ONE.
[IV. Action Item (Non Consent)]
ITEM FOUR ACTION ITEMS NON CONSENT.CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE INDEPENDENTLY AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022.
GOOD EVENING. PRESIDENT JOHNSON, BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
THE REPORT BEFORE YOU IS THE SAME YOU RECEIVED ON FRIDAY, IN ADDITION TO THE PDF YOU RECEIVED AS WELL, JUST GARCIA PRESENTED TO YOU THE RESULTS OF OPERATIONS AT OUR OCTOBER COMMITTEE MEETING AND OUR OCTOBER BOARD MEETING.
JUST AS A REMINDER, DUE TO THE CHANGE IN THE NOVEMBER BOARD MEETING THAT IS THAT REQUIRED THE CHANGE IN THE APPROVAL TEA ALLOWS THE DISTRICT 150 DAYS AFTER OUR FINANCIAL YEAR END, WHICH IS JUNE 30TH, AND THAT GIVES US UNTIL NOVEMBER 27TH TO GET OUR REPORT SUBMITTED TO THEM.
AND SO WITH THE APPROVAL TONIGHT, WE WILL BE ABLE TO DO THAT IN ADVANCE OF THE DEADLINE.
I'D BE HAPPY TO ADDRESS ANY QUESTIONS, CONCERNS OR IF WE NEED TO REVIEW THE REPORT THAT MR. GARCIA PRESENTED IN THE PAST.
OKAY. BOARD WE ALL KNOW WHY WE HAD TO CARRY THIS OVER TO A SPECIAL MEETING.
DO WE HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, OR WERE THEY ALL ASKED AT THE ORIGINAL? MR. GLICK? YES, SIR. HAVE YOU OUTLINED THE CHANGES FROM WHAT WE WERE ABOUT TO APPROVE A FEW WEEKS AGO TO THIS? IT'S NOT IN THE BOOK YOU HAVE THERE'S THERE IS ONE SMALL CHANGE JUST AFFECTING THE GOVERNMENTAL FUNDS, NOT THE GOVERNMENT WIDE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS THAT WOULD BE ON C 1. [INAUDIBLE] PAGE 14 AND 15.
THAT IS THE THOSE ARE THE BALANCE SHEETS FOR THE GOVERNMENTAL FUNDS AND THEN OBVIOUSLY CARRIED THROUGH FROM THE C 2, WHICH IS THE BASICALLY INCOME STATEMENT, SAME TYPE FOR THE GOVERNMENTAL FUNDS.
OK. ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS? YEAH, JUST REAL QUICK.
AND ONE OF THEM SAID IT DECREASED 77 AND THE OTHER ONE SAID IT INCREASED.
AND THE CORRECT ONE IS INCREASED.
AND AS MR. GARCIA SPOKE TO LIKE THAT, YOU WILL SEE THAT CHANGE NEXT YEAR WITH THE GATSBY 68 AND 75, THAT NET PENSION LIABILITY AND POST-EMPLOYMENT BENEFITS. AND THEN IN OUR BOND FUND I THINK IT SHOWED THAT THE THE CHANGE WAS $42 MILLION AND I'M ASSUMING THAT WAS OFF JUST FROM A REGULAR PAYMENTS.
$42 MILLION WAS THE AMOUNT OF, YES, THAT'S THE PRINCIPAL PAYMENT THAT WAS MADE THIS YEAR.
AND THOSE WERE JUST REGULAR SCHEDULE, NOTHING PREPAID EARLY OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.
WE HAVE NOTHING WE CAN ISSUE AT THIS POINT, RIGHT, UNTIL WE HAVE ANOTHER BOND PROGRAM.
BUT NO, NO REFUNDING'S THIS YEAR.
THEY WERE ALL SCHEDULED PAYMENTS WE PAY IN FEBRUARY ARE DEBT PAYMENTS.
THANK YOU. ANYTHING FURTHER? ANY MOTIONS FROM THE FLOOR? IS THIS DO WE NEED A MOTION TO ACCEPT IT NOW THAT IT'S A FINAL DRAFT? IS THAT WHAT YOU NEED? IT'S A FINAL VERSION.
MR. PRESIDENT, I WOULD MAKE THE MOTION THAT WE ACCEPT THE ANNUAL COMPREHENSIVE FINANCIAL REPORT AS A FINAL DRAFT AS PRESENTED TO US, NO NOT DRAFT, AS A FINAL REPORT.
I WOULD MOVE THAT WE ACCEPT THE ANNUAL COMPREHENSIVE FINANCIAL REPORT AS PRESENTED.
WE HAVE A MOTION AND A SECOND.
ALL THOSE IN FAVOR, PLEASE RAISE YOUR HAND.
NEXT ITEM IS EXECUTIVE SESSION.
DR. LOPEZ, DO WE HAVE ANY NEED FOR AN EXECUTIVE SESSION? NO, SIR. SEEING THERE'S NO NEED FOR AN EXECUTIVE SESSION.
[VII. Adjournment]
DO I HAVE A MOTION TO ADJOURN? SO MOVED. ALL RIGHT. WE ARE ADJOURNED AT 5:36.MR. GLICK HAS INDICATED 5:50 WILL BE THE TIME THAT WILL BEGIN THE ACADEMIC DISTRICT AFFAIRS MEETING.
THANK YOU.
