WELL, I JUST WANT TO THANK THE BRANDENBURG COMMUNITY FROM PARENTS TO TEACHERS TO ADMIN STAFF.

I ALSO WANT TO THANK THE LAKEVIEW COMMUNITY AND SOUTH GARLAND COMMUNITY FROM PRINCIPALS, TEACHERS AND STAFF FOR WELCOMING STUDENTS ON A TEMPORARY DISPLACEMENT.

YOU KNOW, WHEN YOU COME TOGETHER AS A FAMILY, IT REALLY SPEAKS VOLUMES ON HOW EVERYBODY IS WORKING SO WELL TOGETHER JUST TO MAKE JUST TO MAKE THE TRANSITION SO WELCOMING FOR OUR MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS.

YOU KNOW, IT'S SAD THAT IT TAKES A CRISIS TO SEE THE EXCELLENCE HAPPENING AT THESE SCHOOLS.

AND EACH OF THE PRINCIPALS AND ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS, OUR TEACHERS HAVE BEEN SO RESILIENT, AND THEY'VE REALLY DONE AN EXCELLENT JOB. AND I JUST WANT TO START OFF WITH A SHOUT OUT TO THEM.

[IV.A. Receive Presentation on Bond 2023 Program Summary Update – Javier Fernandez]

WE'RE GOING TO RECEIVE OUR PRESENTATION ON BOND 2023 PROGRAM SUMMARY UPDATE MR. FERNANDEZ.

ALL RIGHT. OKAY. GOOD AFTERNOON, PRESIDENT SELDERS, MEMBERS OF THE BOARD , DR.

LOPEZ, EXCITED TO BE WITH YOU HERE TONIGHT TO TALK ABOUT OUR BOND PROGRAM AND ALL THE GREAT ACTIVITIES THAT ARE TAKING PLACE IN THE BOND.

AND WITH THAT, WE'LL GET STARTED. FOR EVERYONE'S EDIFICATION, THE BOND PROGRAM CONSISTS OF THREE PROPOSITIONS, THE MAJORITY BEING THE SAFETY FACILITY UPGRADES AND INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS.

YOU CAN SEE THAT THE TOTAL FOR BOND IS 1.279 BILLION.

UPDATE ON OUR SOFTBALL BASEBALL PROGRAM. THE IMPROVEMENTS ON THAT PROJECT.

PART ONE IS DONE. PART TWO WE HAVE GOT OUR FIELDS.

I CAN SAY THIS. THE THE STUDENTS ARE FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE CAMPUSES THE STUDENTS STARTED PRACTICING ON THE FIELDS. LAST WEEK, THIS WEEK, THE GIRLS SOFTBALL FOR LAKEVIEW IS PRACTICING ON THEIR FIELD, AND THE BOYS BASEBALL FOR LAKEVIEW WILL START PRACTICING NEXT WEEK.

WE'VE BEEN WORKING VERY CLOSELY WITH THE COACHES, ALONG WITH ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT TO WORK TOWARDS GETTING THOSE THAT PART TWO ACCOMPLISHED. SO THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO'S WHO'S WORKED WITH US.

AND I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU TO THE CAMPUSES WHO HAVE AND THE COACHES AND THE STAFF WHO HAVE WORKED WITH US THROUGH THIS PROCESS OF GETTING THESE NEW FIELDS READY FOR THEM. I THINK THE STUDENTS ARE GOING TO BE THOROUGHLY EXCITED TO PLAY ON THIS NEW SURFACE.

AND SO WITH NEW SOUND SYSTEMS, AND I WILL LET YOU KNOW THAT ON SCOREBOARDS WE ARE A LITTLE DELAYED ON THAT.

THOSE ARE STILL COMING IN, BUT WE ARE WORKING WITH OUR ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT TO SET UP SOME TEMPORARY SCOREBOARDS FOR THESE CAMPUSES.

THAT'S WHERE WE'RE AT WITH THE PART TWO. THE PART THREE.

WE STILL ARE ON TARGET TO ISSUE A DEMOLITION CSP FOR THE END OF THIS MONTH.

AND THEN WE WILL LOOK AT ISSUING A COMPLETE DESIGN PACKAGE FOR APRIL FOR THE NEW SOFTBALL BASEBALL COMPLEX FOR GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL. SO THAT ONE IS MOVING ALONG REALLY, REALLY NICELY.

THESE ARE SOME QUICK PHOTOS OF THE FIELDS THAT YOU SEE.

THIS IS SOUTH GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL AND BASEBALL.

AND THIS IS THE NORTH GARLAND SOFTBALL AND BASEBALL.

AND YOU CAN SEE THE LAKEVIEW CENTENNIAL SOFTBALL AND BASEBALL.

SO I THINK, AGAIN, THE STUDENTS AND STAFF WILL BE REALLY EXCITED TO BE ABLE TO PLAY ON THESE FIELDS.

AND WE APPRECIATE THE SUPPORT EVERYONE HAS GIVEN US IN TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH THIS PROJECT HERE.

THE FIELDHOUSE AN MACS WANTED TO GIVE EVERYONE AN UPDATE ON THAT STATUS OF THAT.

AS YOU KNOW, WE'VE BEEN WORKING WITH THE THREE MUNICIPALITIES THE CITY OF GARLAND, THE CITY OF ROWLETT, AND THE CITY OF SACHSE. WHERE WE ARE, THIS GIVES YOU AN UPDATE OF WILLIAM STADIUM.

THE SITE PERMIT IS APPROVED. SITE PERMIT IS STILL PENDING FOR SOUTH GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL.

MATTER OF FACT, I JUST GOT AN EMAIL THIS TODAY THAT HAS BEEN APPROVED AND SO YOU CAN SEE THE ONES THAT HAVE SITE APPROVALS AND THEY WANT TO HAVE BUILDING PERMIT APPROVALS.

AT THIS TIME, LET ME TAKE A STEP BACK AND KIND OF SHARE WITH YOU THE PROCESS THAT THE CITY OF GARLAND TAKES, WHICH IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN THE PROCESS THAT THE CITY OF ROWLETT AND THE CITY OF SACHSE TAKE.

IN ORDER TO ISSUE A BUILDING PERMIT WITHIN THE CITY OF GARLAND NOT ONLY DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE YOUR SITE PACKAGE COMPLETE, BUT YOU ALSO HAVE TO HAVE IF THERE IS A REPLAT THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE FOR THE PROPERTY.

IF THERE'S A REPLAT THAT HAS TO BE DONE, THAT ACTUALLY HAS TO BE FILED SUBMITTED AND FILED BEFORE THE BUILDING PERMIT IS ACTUALLY ISSUED. AND SO THAT'S A LITTLE DIFFERENT. AND THE CITY OF ROWLETT AND THE CITY OF SACHSE DO NOT REQUIRE THAT.

THEY ACTUALLY REQUIRE THE REPLAT TO BE SUBMITTED JUST PRIOR TO CO WHICH IS THE BUILDING IS GOING UP.

AND, YOU KNOW, YOU'RE PRETTY MUCH ALMOST DONE.

AND THAT'S WHEN THEY WILL REQUEST FOR A REPLAT TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE CITY.

SO VERY, VERY DIFFERENT IN HOW THE MUNICIPALITIES OPERATE, VERY, VERY DIFFERENT ON HOW THEY COORDINATE WITH QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS WITH THE DESIGN TEAMS ON THE ITEMS THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED AS FAR AS OUR DESIGNS GO.

SO WE ARE WORKING REALLY, REALLY CLOSELY WITH EACH MUNICIPALITY AND TRYING TO GET THIS ACCOMPLISHED.

I WILL ALSO SHARE WITH YOU THAT OUR CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AT RISK FOR CORE CONSTRUCTION IS WORKING VERY DILIGENTLY ON THE CAMPUSES AT THIS POINT. THE CAMPUSES THAT THAT HAVE SITE PERMITTING, WE HAVE MOBILIZED.

WE HAVE STARTED TO MOVE DIRT ON QUITE A FEW OF THESE PROPERTIES.

AND SO I WILL JUST SAY THAT TO BEAR WITH US. WE'VE GOT A LOT OF DUST THAT IS TAKING PLACE AND MORE TO COME. SO FOR THOSE THAT ARE BEING INCONVENIENCED AT THIS TIME, SO BEAR WITH US.

WE DO UNDERSTAND THAT OUR PROPERTIES ARE ARE TIGHT.

WE'VE GOT SOME SMALL SITES AND WE'RE PUTTING IN A VERY, VERY LARGE BUILDING THAT IS THE FOOTPRINT OF THE BUILDING.

WELL, YOU MAY THINK THE FOOTPRINT OF THE BUILDING IS BIG, BUT THERE ARE SUPPORT PIECES TO THAT BUILDING THAT REQUIRE IT TO BE MUCH LARGER.

SO THAT'S WHY THERE'S A LITTLE BIT OF INCONVENIENCE THERE. SO BEAR WITH US AS WE WORK THROUGH THIS PROJECT.

WE REALLY THINK WE'RE MAKING SOME REALLY GOOD HEADWAY. NOW, JUST TO GIVE YOU AN EXAMPLE.

SO WE KNEW THAT THIS PROJECT WOULD BE STAGGERED IN A SENSE THAT WE WOULD ISSUE THREE SEPARATE GMPS.

SO IF YOU RECALL, WE ISSUED A 3 GMPS, GMP ONE WAS FOR SOME INVESTIGATION OF UTILITIES.

GMP TWO WAS FOR THE STEEL AND SO WE KNEW THAT AHEAD OF TIME.

SO WE'VE ORDERED THE STEEL MONTHS AGO. AND SO NOW YOU SEE THE STEEL HAS BEEN DELIVERED FOR THE INDOOR FACILITY, WHICH WAS WAS A GREAT PLANNING ON THE PARTS OF THE GARLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT.

AND SO YOU CAN SEE THAT WE'VE GOTTEN THE STEEL FOR THE MAJORITY OF THESE CAMPUSES.

AND YOU CAN SEE HERE THE GRADING THAT'S ACTUALLY TAKING PLACE.

THIS IS NORTH NAAMAN FOREST. THIS IS ROWLETT HIGH SCHOOL.

WE'VE GOT QUITE A BIT OF GRADING THAT'S GOING ON.

SACHSE HIGH SCHOOL IS IS GETTING READY TO REALLY START GOING OVER THERE AS WELL.

SO WE'VE GOT A LOT OF WORK THAT'S TAKING PLACE WITH THAT PROJECT.

AND, AND AS WE MOVE FORWARD. ON THE FREEMAN ELEMENTARY PROJECT, AGAIN, THIS IS WITHIN THE CITY OF GARLAND.

THIS IS ACTUALLY IN THE PERMITTING CYCLE, IF YOU WILL, FOR THIS PROJECT.

WE HAVE GONE BACK AND FORTH WITH THE CITY ON SITE PERMITTING.

WE HAVE IF YOU RECALL, LAST MONTH WE AWARDED THE GMP TO LEE LEWIS CONSTRUCTION.

AND SO WE ARE WORKING WITH THEM QUICKLY TO MOBILIZE.

BUT THE PERMITTING PROCESS IS STILL SOMETHING THAT I'M WORKING VERY CLOSELY WITH THE CITY OF GARLAND TO ISSUE A SITE PERMIT FOR THAT, FOR THAT PROJECT. KIMBERLIN ACADEMY, WE WILL BRING TO YOU THIS AFTERNOON, EXCUSE ME, THIS MEETING, A RECOMMENDATION FOR GMP NUMBER TWO FOR THE KIMBERLIN ACADEMY.

VERY EXCITED TO GET STARTED ON THAT PROJECT THERE.

WE HAVE JUST TO LET YOU KNOW, THE BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION WAS ACTUALLY SUBMITTED ON 12-19, AND THE SITE PERMIT APPLICATION WAS SUBMITTED ON 12-20.

WE ARE HERE AT 3-11 AND STILL WORKING THROUGH THAT PROCESS.

SO THIS IS AN ARDUOUS TASK WHEN IT COMES TO SUBMITTING FOR PERMITS WITHIN THE CITY OF GARLAND.

BUT WE ARE WORKING REALLY CLOSELY WITH THEM TO TRY TO ACCOMPLISH THIS AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.

SO THIS IS AN AERIAL VIEW OF THE PROPERTY FOR KIMBERLIN ACADEMY, LAKEVIEW, CENTENNIAL, AND NAAMAN FOREST HIGH SCHOOL.

THE SOLICITATION WENT OUT LAST MONTH. WE EXPECT TO RECEIVE RESPONSES ON THE 20TH OF MARCH.

OUR GMP, WE WHEN I SAY GMP APRIL 17TH, THAT IS WHEN THE GMP, MEANING THE GUARANTEED MAXIMUM PRICE IS GOING TO BE SUBMITTED BACK TO THE DISTRICT FROM THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AT RISK.

THE GMP SUBMISSION TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES, WE PLAN ON PRESENTING THAT TO YOU IN MAY.

THE PLAYGROUNDS GIVE YOU A SUBMISSIONS FOR THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES THIS AFTERNOON THAT WE PLAN ON BRINGING TO YOU THAT AS A RECOMMENDATION.

ON THE PERMITTING PROCESS FOR THAT, WANTING TO GIVE YOU AN UPDATE, THE CITY OF GARLAND, THE BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION WAS SUBMITTED ON 12-19.

THE SITE PERMIT IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THE CITY OF GARLAND ON THIS.

THERE'S A FENCING PERMIT REQUIRED. AND IN ORDER TO GET THE FENCING PERMIT, WE HAVE TO HAVE A GENERAL CONTRACTOR ON BOARD FOR THAT TO HAPPEN.

AND WE HAVE WE WON'T HAVE THAT DONE UNTIL WE ACTUALLY RECEIVE APPROVAL FROM THE BOARD.

THE CITY OF ROWLETT, A COMMERCIAL ACCESSORY STRUCTURE PERMIT THAT IS PENDING.

THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR BEING ASSIGNED TO THE PROJECT.

THERE IS NO BUILDING PERMIT REQUIRED. THERE IS NO SITE PERMIT REQUIRED.

THE CITY OF SACHSE THE BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION WAS SUBMITTED ON 12-12 AND A SITE PERMIT IS NOT REQUIRED.

SO YOU CAN SEE THERE ARE SOME SUBTLE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN EACH THREE MUNICIPALITIES ON HOW THEY HANDLE IMPROVEMENTS TO PROPERTY.

THE FENCING PROJECT. THAT'S THE ELEMENTARY CAMPUSES.

THAT'S A PHASE ONE BECAUSE THAT'S ACTUALLY BROKEN UP INTO TWO PHASES.

THE SUBMISSION TO THE BOARD OF APPROVAL FOR THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES.

WE PLAN ON HAVING THAT THIS EVENING PERMITTING FOR THE CITY OF GARLAND, THERE HAS BEEN A VARIANCE THAT HAS BEEN SUBMITTED FOR 12 CAMPUSES. THE FENCING PERMIT WAS SUBMITTED ON 12-19.

THE CITY OF ROWLETT FENCING PERMIT WAS SUBMITTED ON 12-20, AND THE FENCING PERMIT FOR THE CITY OF SACHSE WAS SUBMITTED ON 12-18.

SO AGAIN, YOU CAN SEE THE TIME FRAMES THAT OUR DESIGN TEAMS ARE BEING VERY PROACTIVE IN SUBMITTING THEIR DOCUMENTATION IN TIME. BUT AS WE GO THROUGH THE PROCESS OF PERMITTING, IT CAN BE RATHER ARDUOUS TASK WITH THAT PROCESS, THE FIRE ALARM PROJECT. AGAIN, THAT IS ACTUALLY BROKEN UP INTO FIVE PHASES WHAT YOU SEE THERE IS THE FIRST THREE PHASES OF THAT PROJECT, BECAUSE THOSE ARE THE ONES WE'RE WORKING ON RIGHT NOW.

THE FIRST ONE INCLUDES BRANDENBURG, ARMSTRONG, ETHRIDGE, PARSONS PRE-KINDERGARTEN, THE AEC, MARVIN PADGETT, TAX OFFICE. WE DO HAVE THERE'S CONSTRUCTION TAKING PLACE AT BRANDENBURG WITH THE FIRE ALARM, UNFORTUNATELY THAT IS STILL GOING ON. WHILE WE DO HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE SANITARY SEWER LINES, THAT THIS IS A SEPARATE PROJECT. ARMSTRONG ELEMENTARY, THERE'S CONSTRUCTION STAGE.

ETHERIDGE IS ACTUALLY COMPLETE. THEY'RE REMOVING THE OLD SYSTEM THERE.

AND AT PARSONS PRE-KINDERGARTEN, THEY'RE ACTUALLY REMOVING THE OLD SYSTEM.

AND THAT ONE IS COMPLETE AS WELL. YOU CAN SEE THAT WE CONTINUE TO MAKE SOME REALLY GOOD PROGRESS ON THIS PROJECT HERE.

THERE'S QUITE A BIT OF QUITE A BIT OF WORK THAT HAS TO TAKE PLACE ON THE UPGRADING OF THE FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS. PHASE TWO, YOU CAN SEE THE WORK THAT'S BEEN TAKING PLACE THERE AND PHASE THREE, THE CAMPUSES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THAT.

AND WE'VE GOT DOCUMENT EXCHANGES COMPLETE. SO WE'LL BE WORKING ON DEVELOPING SOME PURCHASE REQUISITIONS FOR THAT.

THOSE PHASE TWO AND PHASE THREE. THE CAMERA REFRESH.

WE STILL PLAN ON FINISHING THIS MONTH FROM MY UNDERSTANDING ON THE FIRST PHASE AND THEN ON THE PHASE TWO, WE ARE DOING SITE WALKS FOR THOSE TEN PHASES, AND THEN WE'LL ALSO DO ONSITE WALKS FOR THE 13 CAMPUSES THAT ARE IN PART THREE, PHASE THREE. EXCUSE ME, THE DOOR HARDWARE PROJECT THAT'S 64 CAMPUSES.

SO DOOR HARDWARE INSTALLATION. IT'S ACTUALLY MOVED TO APRIL, WHICH IS NEXT MONTH.

AND THAT IS DUE TO DELIVERIES OF THE CORES AND THE THE HARDWARE THAT WE ARE LOOKING TO RECEIVE.

AND SO THERE'S BEEN A DELAY FROM THE MANUFACTURER ON THAT.

SO WE'LL GET THAT STARTED AS SOON AS WE RECEIVE THE PRODUCT.

THE PHASE TWO PROJECTS, WE'VE HAD SOME REALLY GOOD MEETINGS WITH DESIGN TEAM ON ELEMENTARY NUMBER THREE,

PHASE TWO, BID PACK ONE. WE PLAN ON BRINGING YOU THE NEW AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE FACILITY THAT WE'RE TRYING TO PUT THAT ON THE DOCKET FOR NEXT MONTH TO BRING TO YOU A SCHEMATIC DESIGN FOR THAT PROJECT SO THAT YOU CAN GET AN IDEA OF WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE.

AND SO WE'LL BRING THAT BACK TO YOU NEXT MONTH.

SOUTH GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL, NORTH GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL, THERE'S SOME SCOPE VERIFICATION THAT IS STILL TAKING PLACE ON THAT SPECIFIC CAMPUS AND ON HICKMAN, NORTHLAKE, ROWLETT AND TOLER OUR SCOPE BUDGET IS COMPLETE NOW AND THEN SOLICITATION.

WE JUST RECEIVED OUR SOLICITATION FOR PHASE TWO BID PACK FIVE THAT WE RECEIVED RESPONSES BACK TODAY FOR THAT.

AND SO WE'LL BE BRINGING THAT AS A RECOMMENDATION TO THE BOARD NEXT MONTH.

SO QUITE A LOT OF MOVING PARTS THAT WE'VE GOT PHASE TWO BID PACK SEVEN, OUR FENCING THAT'S OUR SEVEN HIGH SCHOOLS, 12 MIDDLE SCHOOLS AND FOUR ALTERNATIVE CENTER ALTERNATIVE SPECIAL PROGRAM FACILITIES.

BUDGET SCOPE TO BUDGET WAS IN FEBRUARY. AND WE'RE WORKING ON BRINGING THAT PROJECT BACK TO YOU AS A SCHEMATIC DESIGN AS WELL.

INTRUSION ALARM. WE'VE ISSUED A PURCHASE REQUISITION.

THE GOAL IS TO DO BEAVER ELEMENTARY AT THE SUMMER SO THAT WE CAN DO THE INTRUSION ALARM THERE.

WATERPROOFING AND CLADDING. WE'VE COMPLETED OUR 50% PAGE TURN.

SO WE'RE ACTUALLY LOOKING TO MOVE FORWARD WITH THAT AND START FINISHING UP ON THE DRAWINGS SO WE CAN GET A BETTER IDEA OF OF THE TOTAL SCOPE THAT WE'RE WORKING ON THAT PROJECT.

THIS IS OUR DDC CONTROLS UPDATE. THE CAMPUSES THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THAT.

OUR LOCAL AREA NETWORK UPGRADE FOR THIS MONTH, OUR HUB SITES, THE EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN ORDERED AND THE METROPOLITAN AREA NETWORK, THE EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN ORDERED FOR THAT. AND YOU CAN SEE THE INSTALLATION DATES FOR THOSE ARE IN THE SUMMER IN JUNE AND JULY.

IN PHASE THREE, THE ELEMENTARY NUMBER FOUR, WE DID PERFORM AN ARCHITECTURAL KICKOFF MEETING FOR THAT.

AND WE'RE WORKING ON GETTING FURTHER CLARIFICATIONS ON THAT ON THAT PACKAGE, THE ATHLETIC PACKAGE.

THOSE THINGS HAPPEN A LOT WHEN WE'RE OUT, AND WE HAVE STUDENTS OUTSIDE AND WE'RE PERFORMING INSTRUCTION AND WE HAVE THESE DOGS THAT COME OUT.

WELL, NOW THEY CAN FEEL SECURE. SO SO I THINK EVERYONE IS GOING TO BE AT THE END OF THE DAY.

SO HERE ON OUR SITE PLAN, WE SEE THAT IT'S AT THE SOUTH.

AGAIN THAT SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE SITE CLOSE TO THE NATATORIUM.

IT'S LOCATED ON THE CORNER OF NAAMAN SCHOOL ROAD AND PLEASANT VALLEY ROAD.

SO HOW YOU ACCESS THE SITE YOU CAN ACCESS IT FROM IF YOU'RE A SEMI-TRUCK OR DELIVERY TRUCK FROM SOUTHBOUND ON PLEASANT VALLEY.

AND IF YOU'RE A VISITOR YOU WOULD VISIT IT FROM GOING WESTBOUND ON NAAMAN SCHOOL ROAD.

YOU ALSO HAVE ACCESS. WE'RE GOING TO BUILD A NEW DRIVE BETWEEN THE NATATORIUM PARKING LOT AND THIS NEW PROJECT ALSO.

SO AT THE BOTTOM SOUTHEAST CORNER, YOU'LL SEE DETENTION POND THAT'S REQUIRED FOR THIS SITE.

WE HAVE 170 PARKING SPACES FOR STAFF AND VISITORS.

THAT'S OUTSIDE THE SECURED FENCING. WE AT THE TOP OF THE SCREEN YOU'LL SEE A DRIVE FOR DELIVERY TRUCKS SEMI TRUCKS THAT HAS THAT GETS INTO THE LOADING DOCK AREA ON THE FAR LEFT, WHICH IS AGAIN FENCED IN.

WE HAVE A TECHNOLOGY VAN PARKING THERE THAT'S FENCED IN AND SECURED WITH FENCES AND GATES, AND THEN A SERVICE YARD THAT SERVES THE BUILDING.

OKAY, HERE'S THE OVERALL FIRST FLOOR PLAN. WE SEE THE MAIN ENTRY IS TOWARDS THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN WHERE IT SAYS SECURED VESTIBULE, AS VISITORS WILL COME IN A SECURED VESTIBULE AND GET CHECKED IN FOR THE PROPER, PROTOCOLS.

AND THEN THERE'S ALSO SEVERAL STAFF ENTRY AND EXIT POINTS THAT WILL BE UTILIZED DEPENDING ON WHERE STAFF PARKS OR IF STAFF IS GOING TO THE LOADING DOCK AREA. SO WE'LL WE'LL ZOOM IN ON THE WAREHOUSE AREA.

THE WAREHOUSE AREA IS GOING TO HAVE SEVERAL DIFFERENT SHELVING STORAGE UNITS.

THIS SPACE IS DESIGNED AROUND THE SHELVING RACKS THEMSELVES TO MAXIMIZE CLEARANCES AND SPACES FOR STORAGE.

THIS SPACE WILL BE HEATED AND COOLED. IT DOES HAVE OVERHEAD DOORS FOR THE LOADING DOCK FOR EASY ACCESS.

AS WE GET INTO THE PARTS ROOM AND THE SALVAGE ROOM THOSE AGAIN, WILL HAVE EQUIPMENT STORAGE WORKSPACE THAT WILL BE HEATED AND COOLED VERSUS THE WAREHOUSE JUST BEING HEATED AND VENTILATED.

THAT WILL HAVE OVERHEAD DOORS AND ACCESS TO THE VAN PARKING AREA.

AS WE MOVE THROUGH THE BUILDING, WE HAVE WE'LL MOVE THROUGH SEVERAL DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS.

FIRST, WE'LL GO THROUGH PLANNING IMPLEMENTATION AND IMAGING TEST AREA.

THAT WILL BE MORE OF A NORMAL OFFICE SPACE HEATED AND COOLED OF COURSE.

WE'LL GET INTO IT OPERATIONS THERE IN THE PURPLE THAT WILL BE NORMAL OFFICE SPACE.

THEN WE GET TO THE CORRIDOR WHERE WE HAVE SOME SERVICE SPACES, LIKE ELECTRICAL ROOM AT THE TOP.

CUSTODIAL SPACE, FIRE RISER ROOM AND STAIRS THAT GO TO THE SECOND FLOOR.

AND THEN, OF COURSE, THE GROUP TOILET ROOM THERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN.

AND THEN AS WE MOVE THROUGH THE BUILDING, WE HAVE A FEW MORE DEPARTMENT OFFICE SPACES, LIKE PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION SUPPORT.

WE ALSO HAVE CONFERENCE SPACE FOR THEM THAT CAN BE SHARED BETWEEN DEPARTMENTS.

WE'LL LET'S SEE. AND THEN AS YOU GO TO THE FAR RIGHT, ACROSS THE HALL AND DOWN THE HALL, YOU'LL HAVE THE COMPUTER LABS FOR TRAINING. THEN YOU HAVE A BREAK ROOM FOR THE WHOLE FIRST FLOOR.

AND WHAT'S NICE ABOUT THIS SPACE, TOO, IS IF ANY VISITORS COME THAT NEED TO USE THAT COMPUTER LAB FOR TRAINING IT CAN BE SECURED OFF.

SO NO ONE'S GOT ACCESS TO THE REST OF THE BUILDING.

YOU SEE THE ELEVATORS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SPACE? THERE'S ANOTHER STAIRCASE THAT GOES UP TO THE SECOND FLOOR.

NOW WE GET INTO THE NETWORK AND COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT THAT'S IN THAT CYAN COLOR.

THEY HAVE THEIR OFFICES THERE IN CONFERENCE SPACE, AND THAT SPACE THAT HAS THE DASHED RED LINE AROUND IT IS THE NOC, THE NETWORK OPERATIONS CENTER. IN THERE WE HAVE A WORK ROOM, WHICH IS THAT BOTTOM RIGHT ROOM WHERE THE TABLES ARE.

AND THEN AS YOU GO UP THE SCREEN, THERE'S THE CENTRAL SERVER ROOM WHERE ALL THE SERVERS ARE.

AND THEN TO THE LEFT WE HAVE ALL THE SUPPORT SPACES NEEDED.

FIRE. THIS HAS ITS OWN FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM THAT'S NOT PART OF THE BUILDING.

SO WE'VE GOT TO HAVE A ROOM FOR THAT. WE HAVE A STAFF RESTROOM BECAUSE AS YOU SEE WHERE THE RED LINES DASHED, THIS IS A HARDENED BUILDING. THIS IS ACTUALLY DESIGNED TO WITHSTAND TORNADIC WINDS.

AND WE HAVE SOME OF THE RESTROOM TOO. OF COURSE, WE HAVE THE SERVER SERVICE PROVIDER ROOM FOR UTILITIES COMING IN THAT WILL ALSO BE THE POTENTIALLY BE THE MDF ROOM FOR THE ENTIRE BUILDING TOO.

WE HAVE EQUIPMENT STORAGE, ELECTRICAL ROOM, UPS BATTERY ROOM.

THAT IS THE BACKUP. THAT'S THE IMMEDIATE BACKUP SYSTEM UNTIL THE GENERATORS TURN ON.

AND THEN OF COURSE, WE HAVE A MECHANICAL ROOM. THE SERVICE YARD WILL ALSO SERVE THIS SPACE TOO.

AND THAT'S GOING TO HAVE A GENERATOR, A TRANSFORMER THERE.

AND POTENTIALLY MECHANICAL UNITS THERE POTENTIALLY.

WE'RE STILL WORKING THROUGH THAT PROCESS. ON THE SECOND FLOOR, WE HAVE A COUPLE PROGRAMS UP THERE.

IN PURPLE, WE HAVE THE GIS PROGRAM. THEN WE HAVE A CONFERENCE SPACE THAT'S SHARED BETWEEN DEPARTMENTS, RESTROOMS, BREAK ROOM ON THE FAR LEFT IN THAT ORANGE COLOR.

AND THEN BELOW WE HAVE DATA ADMINISTRATIVE SYSTEMS AND DIVISION LEAD OFFICE THERE WITH CONFERENCE SPACE TWO ON THE SECOND FLOOR.

OKAY. SO I WANT TO GO THROUGH THE RENDERINGS HERE. WE'VE GOT BOTH EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR RENDERINGS, AND WE'LL ALSO SEE THIS IN THE FLY THROUGH. SO HERE'S JUST AN AERIAL VIEW OF THE FRONT ENTRY.

WE HAVE SEVERAL GISD LOGOS BECAUSE WE HAVE A MAIN ENTRY THAT DOESN'T FACE PLEASANT VALLEY.

AND THEN THAT WE HAVE A SCREEN MATERIAL WHERE ALL THOSE WINDOWS ARE, WHERE THE GISD LOGOS ARE TOO TO HELP CUT DOWN ON TOO MUCH SUNLIGHT AND GLARE IN THAT SPACE. NOW THIS IS KIND OF OPPOSITE CORNER. THIS IS LOOKING AT THE WAREHOUSE CORNER, BUT YOU CAN STILL SEE THAT MAIN ENTRY.

SO YOU GET TO SEE A LITTLE BIT MORE OF THE WAREHOUSE.

THIS IS WHERE, YOU KNOW, DIAGNOSTICS AND WORKING ON THE SERVERS WILL HAPPEN.

AND THEN AS WE GET INTO THE CENTRAL SERVER ROOM ITSELF, ALL THOSE RECTANGULAR SQUARES ARE DIFFERENT RACKS THAT HAVE SERVERS IN THEM AND OTHER EQUIPMENT THEY ACTUALLY ARE HAD THEIR HVAC IS ACTUALLY TIED BACK.

THE RETURN IS TIED BACK TO THE HVAC SYSTEM. SO THAT'S WHY YOU SEE DUCTWORK GOING BETWEEN THOSE RACKS AND THE CEILING.

THAT LADDER STRUCTURE IS THE CABLING STRUCTURE FOR THE NETWORK CABLING.

AND THEN THERE WILL BE AN ELECTRICAL BUS SYSTEM IN THERE THAT WILL PROVIDE FLEXIBLE POWER IN DIFFERENT TYPES OF POWER AMPERAGE OR I'M SORRY, VOLTAGE. I'M SORRY TO THOSE RACKS AS NEEDED.

SO THERE'S ROOM FOR ADAPTATION AND MODIFICATION AS NEEDED.

AND AGAIN THIS SPACE WILL HAVE ITS OWN FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM BECAUSE OF THE SENSITIVE EQUIPMENT.

THERE WON'T BE WATER PIPES IN HERE OR WATER FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS. IT'LL BE SEPARATE SYSTEMS THAT PROTECT THE EQUIPMENT PROGRAM.

I JUST WANTED TO HIGHLIGHT THIS REAL QUICK BECAUSE I KNOW THIS IS HARD TO READ, BUT THIS COVERS ALL SIX DEPARTMENTS IN THIS TECHNOLOGY DIVISION THAT WE WENT OVER EARLIER WHEN WE WENT THROUGH THE FLOOR PLAN WE HAVE APPROXIMATELY 5300FT² FOR THAT NOC SPACE THAT WAS SHADED IN THAT DASHED RED COLOR. WE HAVE APPROXIMATELY WHEN YOU COUNT PARTS IN PARTS ROOM AND WAREHOUSE AND WHAT WAS IT? SALVAGE ROOM? WE GOT ABOUT 9200FT² OF WAREHOUSING SPACE.

SO OVERALL, OUR SQUARE FOOTAGE AT THE MOMENT IS 34,800FT².

PROJECT SCHEDULE. SO WE STARTED LAST QUARTER OF LAST YEAR.

WE WORKED THROUGH THE DESIGN PROCESS TO WHERE WE ARE TODAY WITH PRESENTING SCHEMATIC DESIGN.

WE ARE TARGETING TO RELEASE THE BID DOCUMENTS IN VERY, VERY EARLY JUNE.

SO THAT WOULD GIVE US AS YOU CAN SEE IN PURPLE, A BID DAY OF POTENTIALLY FOR THE AUGUST BOARD MEETING.

THAT'S WHAT WE'RE SHOOTING FOR. BUT ONE OF THE THINGS BASED ON OUR BECAUSE THIS IS A CITY OF GARLAND PROJECT, BASED ON OUR STANDARD DURATIONS FOR PERMITTING PROCESS, WE ARE ACTUALLY SUBMITTING PERMIT NEXT MONTH.

SO WE ARE VERY ON SCHEDULE WITH THAT, IN MY OPINION.

I THINK THAT WILL HELP CREATE A SUCCESSFUL PROJECT. AND OUR GOAL IS TO START IN SEPTEMBER FOR CONSTRUCTION.
