[III. Superintendent's Message]

WELL, WE GOT A LOT OF PROJECTS ON ON THE DOCKET, AND I THINK PEOPLE ARE WAITING WITH ANTICIPATION TO START SEEING THINGS GET CONSTRUCTED AND GO UP. RIGHT NOW, WE HAVE OUR MAX MOVING FORWARD, DIFFERENT PACES AT DIFFERENT SCHOOLS.

IT'S I JUST WANT THE COMMUNITY TO KNOW IT IS SO UNIQUE THAT EACH SITE IS SO DIFFERENT, AND SO THEY'RE GOING TO SAY, WELL, YEAH, IT'S DIFFERENT, BUT I'M EVEN TALKING ABOUT UNDERGROUND IN SOME OF OUR SITES, SOME OF THE UNDERGROUND.

WE HAD NEGOTIATIONS WITH THE CITY BACK IN THE DAY TO ALLOW OUR SEWAGE DRAINS TO GO UNDERNEATH THE SCHOOLS AND OTHERS, THE WAY IT'S LANDLOCKED AND, AND WE HAVE DIFFERENT TYPE OF.

LET'S TALK ABOUT TECHNOLOGY LINES AND EVERYTHING ELSE UNDERGROUND IN THOSE AREAS.

BECAUSE THE PREDICTION BACK THEN WAS AND THEY'RE CEMENTED, BY THE WAY, THEY WEREN'T JUST LIKE UNDERGROUND WE'RE TALKING ABOUT UNDER UNDERGROUND CEMENTED LINES. LOPEZ, WE'RE HERE TONIGHT TO PRESENT TO YOU OUR BOND PROGRAM SUMMARY UPDATE FOR THE MONTH OF MAY 2025.

LAST, I'LL START OFF WITH SAYING THAT LAST MONTH I BROUGHT THIS SUMMARY TO YOU, AND I MIGHT HAVE OVER EXTENDED THE USE OF THE WORD EXCITED. SO THIS MONTH, I'M NOT SO EXCITED, AND SO WE'RE GOING TO GO THROUGH THAT GOING TO SHARE WITH YOU SOME INFORMATION TODAY SOME FACTUAL INFORMATION OF WHAT WE HAVE AND WORKING ON A PLAN TO GET US TO MOVE FORWARD. SO WITH THAT, WE'LL GET STARTED. AGAIN, FOR THE COMMUNITY, THE BOND PROPOSITIONS THAT WERE THREE THAT WERE PASSED FOR A TOTAL OF 1.279 BILLION. YOU CAN SEE THE BREAKOUT THERE OF HOW EACH ONE IS BROKEN OUT FUNDING WISE.

OKAY. THE SOFTBALL BASEBALL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM.

YOU SEE THAT WE HAVE ACTUALLY DROPPED OFF PART ONE BECAUSE IT DOESN'T SHOW UP ON THE ITEMS BELOW, BUT IT DOES SHOW UP ON THE SCHEDULE AT THE TOP.

I WILL SAY THAT WHAT I'M ABOUT TO SHARE WITH YOU ON THESE PRESENTATIONS, ALL OF THE SCHEDULES HAVE BEEN THE MAJORITY OF SCHEDULES HAVE BEEN UPDATED TO REFLECT THE LATEST INFORMATION THAT WE HAVE RECEIVED FROM BOTH OUR ARCHITECTS AND OUR CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS, CONTRACT MANAGERS THOSE BEING GIVING YOU THE LATEST INSIGHT AS TO WHAT WE HAVE AS FAR AS DURATIONS FOR OUR WORK THAT'S TAKING PLACE. THIS TIMELINE THAT YOU SEE UP ON TOP, THIS ONE HAS CHANGED FROM LAST MONTH.

WHAT WE HAVE DONE THIS MONTH IS WE HAVE ACTUALLY TAKEN PART THREE, AND WE'VE BROKEN THAT PART THREE UP INTO THREE, TWO SEPARATE AREAS, AND THE REASON FOR THAT IS THE SOFTBALL FIELD AND BASEBALL FIELDS FOR GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL ARE BEING LOCATED AT WILLIAMS STADIUM. SO THEY ARE BEING RELOCATED TO THAT AREA.

THEY'RE NOT GOING TO BE WE'RE NOT PUTTING IN TURF AT THEIR EXISTING LOCATIONS.

SO WE ARE BUILDING BRAND NEW SOFTBALL AND BASEBALL FIELDS FOR GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL AT WILLIAMS STADIUM.

IN ORDER TO ACCOMPLISH THAT, THE DISTRICT MADE AN INVESTMENT TO ACQUIRE PROPERTY AT THE CORNER THERE AT WILLIAMS, WHERE THERE WAS A BUSINESS ON THE CORNER. WE'VE ACQUIRED THAT PROPERTY AND WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF WE JUST RECEIVED

SOLICITATIONS FOR THE DEMOLITION OF THAT PROPERTY, ALONG WITH THE ADDITIONAL PROPERTY THAT THE DISTRICT OWNS, THE STUDENT SERVICE CENTER THAT IS BEING PROPOSED TO BE DEMOLISHED AS WELL, AND THAT IS WHERE OUR NEW BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL COMPLEX FOR GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL WILL BE LOCATED. THAT BEING SAID, YOU CAN SEE THAT PIECE OF PART THREE HAS NOW HAS TWO SEPARATE PIECES TO IT.

ONE BEING ADDED IS THE ABATEMENT. THERE ARE ABATEMENT THAT NEEDS TO TAKE PLACE FOR THE P ROPERTY THAT WE ACQUIRED ALONG WITH THE PROPERTY THAT WE CURRENTLY OWN, AND SO YOU CAN SEE THOSE TWO TIMELINES THAT EXIST THERE AS FAR AS THE PART TWO PIECE GOES.

THE LAKEVIEW CENTENNIAL NORTH, GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL, SOUTH GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL.

HAPPY TO REPORT THE SOUND SYSTEMS, BACKSTOPS, THE BENCHES AND THE BAT RACKS.

ALL OF THOSE ITEMS ARE COMPLETE. THE SCOREBOARD INSTALLATION HAS STARTED AND IT SHOULD BE COMPLETED IN JUNE.

OUR CANOPY INSTALLATION IS GOING TO START AT THE END OF THIS MONTH, AND WE SHOULD BE COMPLETED IN JUNE, AND THEREBY HOPEFULLY FINISHING UP THE PART TWO PIECE.

P ART THREE, AS I STATED, WE HAD A SOLICITATION.

THOSE WERE DUE BACK THIS MONTH. WE PLAN TO BRING THAT BACK TO THE BOARD FOR A RECOMMENDATION NEXT MONTH SO THAT WE CAN MOVE FORWARD WITH THE DEMOLITION, AND THEN WE WILL BE BRINGING THE BASEBALL SOFTBALL COMPLEX DESIGN IN JULY FOR THE GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL AREA, PART THREE. THESE ARE THE AERIALS FOR SOUTH GARLAND SOFTBALL AND BASEBALL AREAS, FOR NORTH GARLAND NORTH GARLAND SOFTBALL AND BASEBALL, AND I HAVE TO TELL YOU THOSE THOSE ARE SOME FANTASTIC LOOKING FACILITIES THAT WE WERE BEING ABLE TO PROVIDE FOR OUR STUDENTS HERE IN GARLAND. THIS IS THE LAKEVIEW SOFTBALL AND BASEBALL.

NO LONGER ARE THEY SEPARATED BY A CAMPUS AND A PARKING LOT.

THEY'RE NOW NEXT TO ONE ANOTHER SO THAT WE CAN CREATE A COMPLEX FEEL, WHICH IS REALLY WHAT YOU WANT TO GROW THOSE PROGRAMS, AND SO WE'RE ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH THAT. SO THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY FOR ALLOWING US TO DO THAT FOR THE BENEFIT OF OUR STUDENTS.

AT THE FIELD HOUSES AND MULTI-PROGRAM ACTIVITY CENTERS, THERE ARE SEVEN CAMPUSES AND YOU CAN SEE THE PROGRESS THAT HAS TAKEN PLACE THERE.

OUR SITE CONSTRUCTION IS ONGOING AT GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL, OUR SOUTH GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL, SOUTH GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL.

WE HAVE CONSTRUCTION ONGOING. WE HAD A PRE-CON MEETING FOR LAKEVIEW CENTENNIAL, SO WE WILL BE STARTING WORK IN THAT AREA.

YOU'LL START TO SEE HEAVY EQUIPMENT BEING CENTERED AROUND LAKEVIEW CENTENNIAL.

SO BEAR WITH US. I WILL SAY THAT THIS IS WHILE WE HAVE STARTED LAKEVIEW CENTENNIAL DOING THE BASEBALL FIELDS AND SOFTBALL FIELDS, AND THERE HAVE BEEN CONSTRUCTION LAST YEAR AT LAKEVIEW AND THE BEGINNING OF THIS YEAR, WE REALLY ANTICIPATE LAKEVIEW TO BE UNDER CONSTRUCTION FOR AT LEAST THE NEXT THREE YEARS, BECAUSE FOLLOWING THIS PROJECT, HERE IS OUR LAKEVIEW PROJECT WHERE WE WILL DO A RENOVATION TO THE FACILITY ITSELF. A LARGE ENHANCEMENT TO THAT FACILITY.

SO BEAR WITH US AS WE WORK THROUGH THAT. I THINK AT THE END OF THE DAY, ONCE ONCE WE ARE FINISHED WITH LAKEVIEW CENTENNIAL, YOU WILL NOT RECOGNIZE LAKEVIEW CENTENNIAL AFTER THIS BOND PROGRAM.

IT WILL BE TREMENDOUS. I THINK THE PEOPLE WILL REALLY ENJOY THE PROGRESS THAT WE'RE MAKING THERE.

YOU CAN SEE THE REST OF THE WORK THAT'S TAKING PLACE AT THE OTHER CAMPUSES.

NAAMAN FOREST ROWLETT HIGH SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL.

I WANTED TO SHARE WITH YOU THOUGH. TAKE YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE WITH YOU THE TIMELINE THAT'S BEEN PRESENTED THERE.

I WANT TO CALL YOUR ATTENTION TO THE TIMELINE THAT HAS BEEN ADJUSTED FROM LAST MONTH.

SO THE PERMITTING ON THIS, YOU CAN SEE THE DURATIONS FOR PERMITTING, WHICH EXTEND OUT MANY MONTHS.

WE'VE BEEN ABLE TO, WHILE WE'RE WAITING FOR PERMITS, START CONSTRUCTION ON SOME OF THE CAMPUSES AND OTHERS.

WE'VE HAD TO WAIT BECAUSE OF THAT. WE'RE HAVING SOME DIFFICULTIES ACHIEVING OUR ABILITY TO MOVE IN WHEN WE INITIALLY WANTED TO MOVE IN. NOW WHAT WE'RE LOOKING AT IS MOVING IN THE BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER OF NEXT YEAR.

THE CONSTRUCTION IS CONSTRUCTION. THE DURATION OF CONSTRUCTION IS THE SAME, WHETHER WE START TODAY OR WHETHER WE START SIX MONTHS FROM NOW.

THE DURATION IS THE SAME, AND SO THAT PERMITTING HAS CAUSED US A DELAY IN BEING ABLE TO COMPLETE THE PROJECTS, AND I WILL ADD THAT THE DELAY ON THE PERMITTING FOR THIS IS WITHIN THE CITY OF

GARLAND. WE HADN'T EXPERIENCED ANY DELAYS WITH THE CITY OF ROWLETT OR THE CITY OF SACHSE.

THOSE WERE THOSE WERE LONGER THAN EXPECTED, BUT WE WOULD NOT CONSIDER THOSE FROM A DELAY STANDPOINT.

ALL OF THIS YOU SEE HERE IS IS INFORMATION THAT WE'RE DEALING WITH WITH THE CITY OF GARLAND, AND SO YOU'LL SEE THESE ARE JUST THE AERIALS THAT WE HAD WITH THOSE CAMPUSES.

WE'LL HAVE MUCH MORE AERIALS THAN THE FOLLOWING MONTH TO BE ABLE TO REALLY SEE THE CONSTRUCTION THAT'S TAKING PLACE ON FREEMAN ELEMENTARY.

WE'VE ADDED FOR THIS TIMELINE, WE'VE ADDED THE PERMITTING FOR THIS PROJECT THAT WASN'T THERE BEFORE, AND THE CONSTRUCTION ON THIS ONE. WE INITIALLY HAD ANTICIPATED BEING ABLE TO MOVE IN IN AUGUST LIKE A REGULAR SCHOOL YEAR IN 2026. WE'RE NOW WORKING WITH THE CONTRACTOR, AND BECAUSE OF THE DURATION OF CONSTRUCTION, WE'RE SEEING OCTOBER 1ST AS THE EARLIEST MOVE IN DATE AS WE STAND NOW.

WE HAVE NOT STARTED THE CONSTRUCTION OF FREEMEN, WE HAVE DEMOED FREEMEN, WE HAVE DEMOED THE SLAB, WE'VE DEMOED ALL THE EXISTING UTILITIES, BUT I CAN SHARE WITH YOU THAT ON FREEMAN.

WHILE THIS SAYS SITE PERMIT ANTICIPATED IN MAY.

UNFORTUNATELY, BASED OFF OF THE INFORMATION I JUST RECEIVED LATE LAST WEEK THIS IS PROBABLY GOING TO PUSH US INTO JUNE, AND THE REASON FOR THAT IS WE HAVE A TRAFFIC IMPACT ANALYSIS, WHICH IS CALLED A TEA THAT IS REQUIRED ANYTIME YOU DO A NEW FACILITY WHERE THE CITY WANTS TO KNOW WHAT ARE THE TRAFFIC IMPACTS TO THIS BUILDING THAT YOU'RE BUILDING? WE ARE AS A SCHOOL DISTRICT, WE ARE CONSIDERED A DEVELOPER WITHIN THE CITY OF GARLAND, WITHIN THE CITY OF ROWLETT, AND WITHIN THE CITY OF SACHSE. SO WE ARE TREATED JUST LIKE ANY OTHER DEVELOPER.

IF WE'RE GOING TO PUT A NEW BUILDING OUT THERE, THEY WANT TO KNOW HOW IS HOW IS THAT GOING TO IMPACT OUR EXISTING HOW IS IT GOING TO IMPACT OUR EXISTING ROADWAYS? SO WHAT WE HAVE HEARD FROM THE CITY OF GARLAND, THEY'RE NOW WANTING A TRAFFIC SIGNAL ADDED TO THE CORNER OF WALNUT AND HILLCREST IS WHERE THERE IS DISCUSSION ABOUT ADDING A TRAFFIC SIGNAL. THEY'RE ALSO WANTING ADDITIONAL DECELERATION LANES ADDED TO HILLCREST WHICH IS A NEIGHBORHOOD SCHOOL, BUT THEY'RE WANTING TO ADD A DECELERATION LANE TO THAT.

IN ADDITION TO THAT, THEY'RE ASKING FOR US TO REVIEW OUR SITE PLAN THAT WE SUBMITTED TO THEM.

THEY'VE BEEN PRETTY ADAMANT, AND THEY'VE SAID THAT THEY'VE TAKEN A STANCE THAT SAID THEY WILL NOT APPROVE ANY DRAWINGS WHERE ANY. I SHOULD STATE THIS. THEIR COMMENTS WERE ALL ALL TRAFFIC GOING INTO THAT FACILITY MUST BE MAINTAINED ON SITE. IT CANNOT BE MAINTAINED ON THE STREETS.

THAT'S CAUSING US TO INCREASE OUR SITE. CONCRETE, IF YOU WILL.

PARKING DRIVES. SO WE'RE WORKING THROUGH THAT.

I WILL SAY THIS AND I'VE SAID THIS IN MANY BOND PROGRAMS THAT I'VE HAD THAT I'VE MANAGED IN MULTIPLE SCHOOL DISTRICTS.

I CONSTANTLY TELL PEOPLE WE DON'T BUILD SCHOOL PARKING LOTS FOR CHRISTMAS AND EASTER.

THAT'S NOT WHAT WE DO. WE UNDERSTAND THAT ON CHRISTMAS AND EASTER, IF IT WAS A CHURCH, THAT'S WHEN YOU HAVE YOUR LARGEST PARTICIPATION.

YOU DON'T BUILD PARKING LOTS FOR THOSE TWO DAYS, AND THAT'S NOT HOW WE BUILD SCHOOLS EITHER.

SO WE'RE WORKING WITH THE CITY AND TRYING TO MAKE SURE THAT WE CAN ACCOMMODATE THEIR REQUEST, BUT WE'RE DOING THE BEST WE CAN TO MAKE SURE THAT WE CAN ACCOMMODATE THOSE REQUESTS AND STILL MEET THE NEEDS OF OUR STUDENTS AND STAFF, AND SO THAT'S SOME OF THE THINGS THAT ARE COMING BACK FROM THE CITY OF GARLAND WITH FREEMAN.

SO YOU CAN SEE THERE THE EXTENT OF THE PERMITTING DURATION.

AGAIN, FREEMAN WAS TURNED IN IN DECEMBER OF LAST YEAR TO THE CITY OF GARLAND.

SO WORKING THROUGH THOSE ISSUES AGAIN, I WISH I HAD BETTER NEWS, BUT I JUST NEED TO SHARE WITH YOU WHERE WE'RE AT.

ON KIMBERLIN ACADEMY FOR EXCELLENCE. THOSE DOCUMENTS WERE SUBMITTED TO THE CITY IN DECEMBER OF LAST YEAR TO REVIEW FOR PERMITTING. THAT CAMPUS. I JUST RECEIVED RIGHT BEFORE THIS MEETING HERE.

I JUST RECEIVED INFORMATION FROM THE DESIGN FIRM ADVISING US THAT THE CITY IS NOW REQUESTING A

RELOCATION OF THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT MILLER AND DAIRY, AND SO THAT'S GOING TO IMPACT THAT PROJECT, AND SO I JUST GOT THAT RIGHT BEFORE THIS MEETING.

SO AGAIN, THESE ARE THESE ARE CHANGES OR REQUESTS THAT ARE COMING IN FROM THE CITY WELL BEYOND THE TIME THAT WE'VE TURNED IN OUR PERMITS, AND SO WE'RE DOING THE BEST WE CAN TO RESPOND TO THESE REQUESTS GET THEM THE INFORMATION THAT THEY REQUIRE IN ORDER FOR US TO GET STARTED, I WILL SAY THIS.

WE HAVE NOT WE HAVE NOT GONE SILENT WITH THE CITY.

WE HAVE IN MULTIPLE OCCASIONS VISITED WITH THE CITY.

WE HAVE ASKED FOR SITE GRADING PERMITS FOR FREEMAN AND FOR FREEMAN AND KIMBERLIN TO ALLOW US TO GET STARTED, TO DO THE GRADING, TO DO THE UTILITY WORK, WHICH IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT WE GET THAT DONE, AND THE CITY ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT HAS FLAT OUT TOLD US, NO, YOU CANNOT DO THAT.

SO THAT'S WHERE WE'RE AT. WORKING THROUGH THAT, THOSE PROCESSES WITH THESE TWO PROJECTS.

I WISH I HAD BETTER NEWS, BUT THAT'S WHERE WE'RE AT TODAY ON THESE TWO PROJECTS.

THE LAKEVIEW CENTENNIAL AND NAAMAN FOREST HIGH SCHOOL PROJECT.

YOU CAN SEE THE PERMITTING WHEN IT WAS TURNED IN IN MARCH, AND WE'RE STILL VETTING THROUGH THE PERMITTING PROCESS FOR NAMING AND LAKEVIEW. WE HAVE RECEIVED WE'VE RECEIVED RESPONSES BACK FROM THE SOLICITATION FROM THE CMAR, AND WE ARE WORKING THROUGH THAT. WE WILL HAVE TO DO A VALUE ENGINEERING ON THIS PROJECT, BECAUSE THE COST THAT WE'VE RECEIVED ARE OUTSIDE OF THE SCOPE OF THE BUDGET THAT WE HAVE FOR THIS PROJECT.

SO WE ARE WORKING WITH BOTH THE ARCHITECTURAL FIRM AND THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AT RISK TO DEVELOP A VALUE ENGINEERING PACKAGE SO THAT WE CAN BRING THIS PACKAGE BACK TO THE BOARD FOR APPROVAL FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL, SO THAT WE CAN GET STARTED WITH THIS WORK.

THE GOOD NEWS? ELEMENTARY PLAYGROUNDS. THOSE AGREEMENTS ARE COMPLETE, AND WE ARE MOVING FORWARD.

WE'VE GOT PERMITTING WE'VE WE HAVE PAID FOR SEVERAL PERMITS.

WITH THE CITY OF GARLAND. WE PAID FOR ALL OUR PERMITS WITH THE CITY OF SACHSE, AND WE PAID FOR ALL OUR PERMITS WITH THE CITY OF ROWLETT. SO THIS PROJECT IS IS ON TARGET TO MEET OUR DECEMBER 1ST COMPLETION DATE. OUR ELEMENTARY CAMPUSES FOR OUR FENCING PROJECT. THIS IS PHASE ONE BID PACK SEVEN.

WE HAD I WANT TO CALL YOUR ATTENTION THAT THE BOARD APPROVED A CONTRACT 510-01-1.7.

IT WAS APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES ON MARCH 11TH.

SINCE THAT TIME, THE DISTRICT BEGAN NEGOTIATIONS WITH THE CONTRACTOR WHO WAS RECOMMENDED.

THOSE THOSE NEGOTIATIONS FELL APART, AND BECAUSE OF THE SECOND BIDDER, THE DISTANCE FROM COST BETWEEN THE FIRST RESPONDER TO OUR SOLICITATION AND THE SECOND, THE DOLLAR AMOUNT WAS SUBSTANTIAL, AND SO THE DISTRICT HAS CHOSEN TO RE SOLICIT THIS PACKAGE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE DISTRICT, AND SO WE'RE WORKING THROUGH THAT. WE'RE GOING TO EXPEDITE THAT WITH OUR PURCHASING DEPARTMENT, AND YOU CAN SEE THE TIMELINE HAS BEEN ADJUSTED FOR THIS PROJECT HERE.

SUMMARY. OUR PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROJECT IS SIMILAR TO THE PHASE ONE FENCING, WHICH HAS BEEN PREVIOUSLY PRESENTED TO THE BOARD TO COMPLY WITH THE TEXAS ADMINISTRATIVE CODE 61 1031. THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THAT CODE IS TO ENSURE A SECURED EXTERIOR PERIMETER FOR CAMPUSES THAT IS, VIA A FENCE OR WALL. THAT'S NON-SCALABLE.

AGAIN, IT CAN GO AROUND THE PERIMETER. IT CAN GO SEGMENTED.

THERE'S A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT WAYS YOU CAN ADDRESS THAT. ALSO TO BE EASILY MAINTAINABLE AND THEN ALSO TO PROVIDE LOCKED GATES WITH EMERGENCY EGRESS FOR THE PHASE TWO PERIMETER PERIMETER FENCING. WE ARE ADAPTING THE REQUIREMENTS OF TAC 61.1031 SIMILAR AS WE DID FOR PHASE ONE.

IN DOING THAT WE WILL BE PROVIDING FENCES ALONG ALL MAJOR STREETS AND HIGHLY VISIBLE AREAS USING A SIX FOOT HIGH BLACK FACTORY FINISHED DECORATIVE METAL FENCE.

WE WILL ALSO BE USING IN LESS PROMINENT AREAS AN EIGHT FOOT HIGH BLACK VINYL COATED CHAIN LINK FENCE.

WE'RE GOING TO TRY TO AVOID AS MANY VEHICULAR GATES AS POSSIBLE ON THESE.

WE CERTAINLY DON'T WANT TO CREATE AN INSTITUTIONAL APPEARANCE, AND OVERALL, WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT WE ARE ENCLOSING AS MANY DOORS WITHIN THE FENCED AREA AS POSSIBLE. AS WE HAVE DISCUSSED.

THIS INCLUDES 23 TOTAL CAMPUSES. THAT'S 12 OF THE MIDDLE SCHOOLS, SEVEN OF THE HIGH SCHOOLS AND FOUR OF THE SPECIAL SERVICE FACILITIES, AND OBVIOUSLY, AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE MAP, WE'RE IN ALL THREE MUNICIPALITIES.

JUST TO KIND OF REITERATE, AS I MENTIONED BEFORE IN TERMS OF THE FENCING AND GATES, WE'VE TRIED TO PROVIDE A REPRESENTATION OF WHAT EACH OF THESE GATES AND FENCING LOOKS LIKE. UP HERE IN THE TOP ITEM NUMBER ONE, THAT IS A REPRESENTATION OF THE SIX FOOT HIGH DECORATIVE METAL FENCE.

AGAIN THAT'S STEEL. IT WILL BE PREFINISHED WITH BLACK, SO IT'LL BE EASILY MAINTAINABLE.

THE PHOTO DOWN BELOW IS TYPICAL CHAIN LINK FENCE.

HOWEVER, WE'RE NOT JUST USING GALVANIZED. WE ACTUALLY ARE GOING TO HAVE THAT BLACK VINYL COATED.

SO IT'LL DRESS IT UP A LITTLE BIT, AND THEN WE HAVE THE GATES WHICH ARE SHOWING OUR PANIC HARDWARE DISTRICT APPROVED CARD ACCESS. THAT WILL BE PUT ONTO ANY OF THE GATES WITHIN THE WROUGHT IRON FENCING, AND THEN CHAIN LINK WILL BE SECURED BY BOLTS AND HASP, AND THEN IT CAN ALSO BE MODIFIED THE CHAIN LINK GATES WITH ACTUALLY PANIC HARDWARE AND CARD ACCESS AS IT'S REQUIRED.

WE WERE TASKED WITH COMING UP WITH ACTUALLY TWO OPTIONS PER SITE.

OPTION ONE IS ESSENTIALLY FOR THE ENTIRE PERIMETER OF THE CAMPUS.

THERE ARE SOME PROS AND CONS TO EACH OF THESE, WHICH I WON'T GO INTO TOO MUCH DETAIL, BUT THE OPTION TWO IS MORE OF A SEGMENTED PERIMETER APPROACH. SO THAT'S BRINGING THE FENCING A LITTLE CLOSER TO THE BUILDING IN SOME CASES.

AS YOU KNOW, AS WE START GETTING INTO SOME OF THE LARGER CAMPUSES AND AS DR.

LOPEZ MENTIONED, YOU KNOW, EVERY CAMPUS IS UNIQUE AND HAS ITS OWN CHARACTERISTICS.

SO THERE REALLY ISN'T ALWAYS A11 APPROACH FITS ALL.

SO WE LOOKED AT TWO DIFFERENT OPTIONS AS WE WENT THROUGH THIS.

WE ALSO WORKED WITH VARIOUS DISTRICT STAKEHOLDERS, WHICH INCLUDED NOT ONLY THE FACILITIES DEPARTMENT, BUT ALSO TRANSPORTATION THE EDL'S SECURITY, ETC.

SO THERE'S BEEN A LOT OF EYES LOOKING ON THESE OPTIONS AS WE'VE GONE THROUGH THAT.

SO I'M GOING TO TURN THIS OVER TO BRIAN TO PRESENT THE THREE EXAMPLES THAT WE HAVE FOR YOU TONIGHT.

THE FIRST EXAMPLE WE'RE SHOWING YOU IS HUDSON MIDDLE SCHOOL. THE BEST OPTION HERE, THE BEST APPROACH WAS THAT OPTION TWO, THE SEGMENTED APPROACH IS WHAT WE'VE BEEN CALLING IT.

THE REASON BEING THE IF YOU CAN SEE THE MIDDLE OF THE CAMPUS, KIND OF THE BLUE REPRESENTS THE CHAIN LINK OVER BY THE FIELDS.

THE RED REPRESENTS THE SIX FOOT HIGH DECORATIVE METAL OVER BY BY THE BUILDING ITSELF, AND THEN THAT ALLEY RIGHT BETWEEN THERE OFF OF HUDSON IS WHERE THE PARENTS QUEUE AND THE BEST APPROACH OR THE BEST, SMOOTHEST TRANSITION THAT THE CAMPUS DECIDED WAS LET THOSE PARENTS DRIVE ALL THE WAY THROUGH.

THE PRICING IS EFFECTIVE HERE AS SHOWN. AS OF FEBRUARY OF 2025 OBVIOUSLY UNTIL THE PROJECT IS ACTUALLY BID AND PROCURED THAT PRICING CAN CHANGE GIVEN THE ECONOMY THAT WE'RE IN, IN TERMS OF WHERE WE'RE AT SPECIFICALLY FOR THE PHASE TWO FENCING OVERALL PROJECT COST. WE ARE AT OUR BASE COST OF 8,600,000 THAT IS ENCOMPASSING A MIXTURE OF, YOU KNOW, OPTION ONE AND OPTION TWO. WE ALSO HAVE PROVIDED A 5% CONTRACTOR CONTINGENCY OF ABOUT 430,000, BRINGING OUR PROJECT ANTICIPATED COST TO JUST OVER 9 MILLION.

THE PROJECT PROJECT BUDGET FOR THIS IS 9.3. SO WE ARE STILL TRACKING POSITIVELY THAT THIS PROJECT WILL BE WITHIN THE BUDGET IN TERMS OF A CONCEPTUAL SCHEDULE WE HAVE IDENTIFIED HERE.

WE ARE CURRENTLY AS AS WE ARE HERE TONIGHT TO PRESENT THE SD.
