WE DID A BEAUTIFUL RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY THIS COMING THIS PAST FRIDAY.
IT WAS SO WELL ATTENDED. WE GOT TO KICK OFF JUST FOR THE PROPER AREA OF GARLAND.
IT WAS FIVE MAC'S AND THE TWO NEW FACILITIES.
WE'RE GOING TO START OFF WITH ROWLETT IN THE MORNING, AND WE'RE GOING TO DO A GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY THERE, AND THEN WE'RE GOING TO FOLLOW UP WITH SACHSE IN THE AFTERNOON. SO A LOT OF GREAT THINGS GOING ON.
A LOT OF DIRT IS MOVING AND MORE DIRT TO COME.

SO WE'RE RIGHT IN THE THICK OF IT, IF YOU WILL, WITH THE WORK THAT'S TAKING PLACE.
UPDATE ON THE SOFTBALL BASEBALL IMPROVEMENTS.
WE HAVE COMPLETED THE SCOREBOARDS AT SOUTH GARLAND, LAKEVIEW AND NORTH GARLAND.
THE COMPLETION THEY ARE SCHEDULED TO COMPLETE AT THE END OF THIS MONTH.
WE ARE WORKING THROUGH THOSE AND THE BASEBALL SCOREBOARDS, LAKEVIEW AND NORTH GARLAND.
THOSE WILL ALSO BE COMPLETED AT THE END OF THE MONTH.
AS WE SHARED LAST MONTH, THE CANOPIES ARE ALL COMPLETE ON ALL THE FACILITIES.
THE COMMERCIAL BUILDING PERMITS, EXCUSE ME. THE COMMERCIAL BUILDING ABATEMENT FOR PART THREE OF THE PROPERTY RECENTLY ACQUIRED IS STILL ONGOING. DEMOLITION PERMIT WE HAD A MEETING THIS MONTH, AND WE ACTUALLY HAVE OUR PERMIT RELEASE FOR THE DEMOLITION.
SO WE'RE GOING TO START WORKING ON THAT AS A CHART SHOWS ON A TIMELINE, SHOWS AT THE TOP.
THERE'S ACTUALLY TWO PARTS TO THE ABATEMENT. WE WILL BE DOING THE ABATEMENT FOR THE PROPERTIES WE RECENTLY ACQUIRED, WHAT WE CALL THE COMMERCIAL BUILDING PORTION. AND THEN THE ABATEMENT FOR THE NORTH END WILL START ONCE WE TRANSITION OCCUPANTS FROM THE MANUEL AND MARIA VALLE STUDENT SERVICES CENTER.
JUST THE CANOPIES THAT YOU SEE THERE, THESE ARE FOR ALL THE BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL FIELDS.
THE BIGGEST THING IS THAT WE'RE WE'RE REALLY MOVING FORWARD NOW THAT WE'VE GOTTEN ALL OUR PERMITS.
SO THIS IS GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL. THIS IS SOUTH GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL.

SO THIS PROJECT IS STARTING TO MOVE FORWARD ALONG WITH KIMBERLIN ACADEMY.
IT IS ALSO MOVING FORWARD. WE RECEIVED OUR SITE PERMIT FOR THAT ONE AS WELL.
AND OUR BUILDING PERMIT WAS APPROVED BACK IN APRIL.
SO WE'RE GOOD TO GO ON THOSE TWO PROJECTS. LAKEVIEW, CENTENNIAL AND NAAMAN WE'VE BEEN WORKING WITH BOTH CAMPUSES ON THE TRAFFIC PATTERNS AS SCHOOL APPROACHES IN AUGUST. BOTH OF THESE SITES HAVE BEEN RELEASED FROM THE CITY, AND SO WE'RE READY TO MOVE FORWARD WITH THE WORK THAT'S TAKING PLACE THERE.
THERE'S GOING TO BE SOME ADJUSTMENTS FROM TRAFFIC PATTERNS, BUT WE ARE WORKING WITH OUR ADMINISTRATION DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION, AND ALSO WORKING WITH OUR CAMPUS ADMINISTRATION TO MAKE SURE THAT OUR STUDENTS, STAFF AND TEACHERS ARE ALL SAFE AND OUR PARENTS ARE SAFE.
OUR PLAYGROUNDS ARE MOVING VERY WELL. WE'VE GOT THE INITIAL PLAYGROUNDS, OUR LUNA, ARMSTRONG, ABBETT AND SEWELL. WE'VE GOT WE'RE CONTINUING OUR PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETINGS WITH EACH CAMPUS PRINCIPAL, LETTING THEM KNOW THE SCHEDULES FOR EACH CAMPUS, WHEN THEY WHEN TO EXPECT US TO START WORKING AT A SPECIFIC SITE.
SO THAT ONE'S MOVING ALONG REALLY NICELY. OUR FENCING PROJECT WE WILL BRING TO YOU NEXT MONTH A RECOMMENDATION FOR AWARD, A REMINDER THAT THIS ONE WAS APPROVED BACK IN MARCH, AND THE NEGOTIATIONS FOR THIS ONE FOR THE OTHER CONTRACTOR FAILED.

THE FIRE DEPARTMENT IS REVIEWING THOSE DRAWINGS AS WE SPEAK. AND SO WORKING THROUGH THAT ON THE CAMERA REFRESH, WE'VE HAD TO SUBMIT A RESUBMIT THE PROPOSALS FOR THE SECURITY CAMERA REFRESH TO REFLECT THE DISCOUNT THAT WAS OFFERED TO THE DISTRICT, ALONG WITH A 5% TARIFF INCREASE. THAT'S THOSE PROPOSALS, EXCUSE ME, THOSE PURCHASE REQUISITIONS ARE HAVE BEEN RESUBMITTED SO WE CAN GET THAT PROJECT KICKED OFF. THE SAME THING FOR OUR ACCESS CONTROL.
IT'S THE SAME VENDOR AND THE SAME ISSUE THAT WE'RE DEALING WITH THERE, OUR DOOR HARDWARE KEYING.
OUR MAIN BUILDINGS ARE COMPLETE. OUR FIELD HOUSES ARE COMPLETE.

WE'VE GOT OUR CONCESSION STAND, PRESS BOXES, GUARD SHACKS.
WE'VE ADDED THOSE TO THE SCOPE. WE FAIL TO LOOK AT THOSE ON THE HOLISTIC LEVEL FOR THE CAMPUS.
MIDDLE SCHOOLS ARE COMPLETE. OUR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS, YOU CAN SEE THE WORK THAT'S TAKING PLACE.
THERE IS QUITE A FEW OF THE SCHOOLS THAT ARE COMPLETE, AND ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS AND AT 30 SCHOOLS THAT ARE PENDING HARDWARE DELIVERY SCHOOLS AND THE ALTERNATIVE PROGRAMS PROGRAM BUILDINGS THAT WE HAVE.
ON OUR LINDA GRIFFIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL THIS IS GOING TO CONSIST OF TWO JUMPS, ONE FOR DEMOLITION AND THEN THE OTHER FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE FACILITY. IN ADDITION TO THAT THAT THAT'S PART OF LINDA GRIFFIN ELEMENTARY IS THE TRANSITIONING OF STUDENTS FROM MONTCLAIR ELEMENTARY OVER TO HEATHER GLEN ELEMENTARY. IN ORDER TO DO THAT WE'VE HAD TO MOVE STUDENTS, STAFF AND TEACHERS FROM MONTCLAIR OVER TO HEATHER GLEN. OUR CAMPUS MOVES ARE COMPLETE.
OUR ABATEMENT IS ONGOING AT MONTCLAIR, AND OUR DEMOLITION PERMIT DOCUMENTS WERE ISSUED TO THE CITY ON JUNE 16TH SO THAT WE CAN BEGIN THE DEMOLITION OF MONTCLAIR. HEATHER GLEN ELEMENTARY. THE PORTABLE RELOCATION IS COMPLETE, AND WE'RE WORKING THROUGH THE PORTABLE RAMPS AND AWNING, SO WE EXPECT TO BE COMPLETE BEFORE THE START OF THE SCHOOL SO THAT WE HAVE NO HICCUPS AT HEATHER GLEN WITH THE COMBINATION OF MONTCLAIR AND HEATHER GLEN STUDENTS.

AND THEN WE'VE ALSO PROPOSED TO THE DISTRICT JUST AGAIN TO A LITTLE BIT TO ENHANCE THE THE CORE ACADEMIC AREAS THAT WE'RE WORKING IN, SOME POTENTIAL FLOOR PATTERN OPTIONS THAT THE DISTRICT CAN CHOOSE FROM.

SO THIS PARTICULAR PROJECT ALREADY HAS THE TURF IN PLACE AND A TRACK IN PLACE.
SO THAT'S NOT A PART OF THIS PARTICULAR SCOPE WHEN WE'RE INVESTIGATING THE PROJECT.
AND THERE'S A BAND TOWER THAT WE'RE LOOKING AT MOVING ALSO, OR JUST GETTING RID OF.
THERE'S A LOT OF DEMO AT THIS TO KIND OF GET RID OF THE EXISTING KIND OF TOILET TICKETING AND CONCESSION BUILDING, AS WELL AS ALL THE EXISTING FIXTURES THERE.
