CRANK IT UP. I DO CALL THIS MEETING TO ORDER AND DETERMINE THAT THERE IS A QUORUM PRESENT.

MECHELLE, DO WE HAVE ANYTHING FOR PUBLIC FORUM? NO, SIR. OKAY. NOTHING THERE. SO WE'LL GO TO NUMBER THREE.

ITEM THREE, THE SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE. JUST A FEW THINGS FOR THE PUBLIC.

THERE WAS A NEW LAW THAT TOOK EFFECT. SO ALL OUR MEETINGS WILL START NOW AT THE EARLIEST 04:30.

THIS IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH OUR WORKING HOURS.

WE GO BY THE CENTRAL OFFICE TIME OF HARRIS HILL.

HARRIS HILL OFFICIALLY CLOSES MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY AT 4:30.

SO THE 4:30 TIME WILL BE OUR KICKOFF TIME FOR THESE TYPE OF MEETINGS.

AND SECONDLY, WE HAVE A PROPOSITION ON THE TABLE FOR NOVEMBER 4TH THAT'S ELECTION DAY.

EARLY VOTING STARTS OCTOBER 20TH AND ENDS OCTOBER 31ST.

BUT ONE THING WE HAVE TO MAKE CLEAR THAT THIS IS A PROPOSITION THAT'S ON THE M&O SIDE.

MANY QUESTIONS COME ABOUT CAN WE USE BOND MONEY TO HELP SUPPORT THOSE ENDEAVORS? THE ANSWER IS NO. IT'S A LEGAL THING. IT'S NOT JUST US SAYING NO.

AND THE REASON FOR IT IS BECAUSE WE MADE PROMISES TO THE TAXPAYERS OF INFRASTRUCTURE THAT NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED.

AND THEN THAT WAY, MONEY WILL NEVER BE DIVERTED AWAY FROM THAT.

SO THESE TWO PROPOSITIONS STAND ALONE AND ONE CAN'T BE TRANSFERRED TO THE OTHER.

THANK YOU. PRESIDENT BEACH. MEMBERS OF THE BOARD, DOCTOR LOPEZ HERE TONIGHT TO PRESENT TO YOU AN UPDATE FOR SEPTEMBER FOR OUR BOND PROGRAM, OUR SEPTEMBER UPDATE. AS DOCTOR LOPEZ ALLUDED TO, WE'VE GOT SOME FANTASTIC WORK THAT HAS TAKEN PLACE RIGHT NOW.

IF YOU DRIVE AROUND OUR CAMPUSES, YOU'LL SEE THAT WE'RE MOVING SOME DIRT AND WE'LL BE MOVING A WHOLE LOT OF DIRT HERE PRETTY SHORTLY.

SO THERE'S DIRT FLYING AS WE SPEAK IN ALL THREE TRI CITIES.

OKAY. AS A REMINDER, OUR BOND PROPOSITIONS, THERE WERE THREE.

THE FIRST ONE WAS FOR SAFETY FACILITY UPGRADES AND INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS.

OUR MULTI-PROGRAM ACTIVITY CENTERS WAS PROP B, AND PROP C WAS OUR TECHNOLOGY DEVICE REFRESH.

THIS IS OUR PROGRAM TIMELINE FOR ALL FIVE PHASES OF THE BOND PROGRAM.

YOU CAN SEE THE WORK THAT'S TAKING PLACE THERE.

THE DIFFERENT STAGES OF EACH PHASE. AN UPDATE ON OUR SOFTBALL BASEBALL IMPROVEMENTS.

PART TWO. OUR SCOREBOARDS FOR LAKEVIEW AND NAAMAN.

EXCUSE ME. LAKEVIEW, CENTENNIAL AND NORTH GARLAND SOFTBALL AND BASEBALL.

THE MATERIALS HAVE BEEN DELIVERED AND INSTALLATION.

IT WAS DELAYED. AND SO WE'RE LOOKING AT COMPLETING THAT WORK AT THE END OF THIS MONTH FOR THOSE TWO CAMPUSES, AND SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION IS ONGOING FOR THE OTHER PARTS OF THAT WORK.

ON PART THREE, THE COMMERCIAL BUILDING AND RECORDS BUILDING DEMOLITION IS ONGOING.

IF YOU DRIVE BY THERE, YOU'LL SEE THAT THE FENCING IS UP.

AND WE ARE, WE'VE DONE SOME ABATEMENT WORK THAT HAD TO TAKE PLACE ON THE INSIDE.

WE HAD SOME UTILITIES THAT HAD TO BE DISCONNECTED FOR ALL OF THE FACILITIES THAT WERE THERE.

THERE WERE QUITE A BIT OF INDIVIDUAL ACCOUNTS THAT HAD TO BE REMOVED PRIOR TO STARTING THE DEMOLITION.

WE HAVE THE RELOCATION OF, EXCUSE ME, THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE BASEBALL FIELD FOR GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL THAT IS DEPENDENT ON THE STUDENT SERVICES RELOCATION. AN UPDATE ON THE STUDENT SERVICES RELOCATION.

WE EXPECT THAT TO BE FINISHED. IN SO THAT OUR STAFF WILL BE RELOCATING IN BE FINISHED IN OCTOBER.

SO THE EARLIEST THE STAFF WILL BE RELOCATING IS IN NOVEMBER FOR OUR STUDENT SERVICES.

AND SO THAT'S GOT A LITTLE BIT OF AN IMPACT ON OUR BASEBALL FIELD, SHOULD NOT IMPACT OUR SOFTBALL FIELD FROM THIS STANDPOINT.

BUT JUST GIVING YOU AN UPDATE ON WHERE WE STAND ON THAT PORTION OF THE PROJECT.

THE FIELD HOUSES AND MULTI-PROGRAM ACTIVITY CENTERS.

IF YOU DRIVE BY ALL OF OUR SEVEN CAMPUSES WE'RE MOVING.

WE'RE MAKING GREAT PROGRESS THERE. WE'VE GIVEN YOU AN UPDATE FROM A PERCENTAGE STANDPOINT ON THE MAJOR ITEMS THAT NEED TO TAKE PLACE FOR EVERY SPECIFIC FACILITY. GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL, AGAIN, THAT IS AT THE WILLIAMS STADIUM FACILITY.

THAT IS WHERE GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL'S FACILITY WILL BE.

AND YOU CAN SEE THE PERCENTAGES AS COMPLETIONS FOR STORM WATER OR DOMESTIC WATER OR SANITARY SEWER.

OUR GRADE BEAMS, OUR FIRE LANES, AND THEN OUR UTILITIES THAT NEED TO BE TAKEN CARE OF.

SO THOSE ARE THAT'S THE PROGRESS OF THE WORK THAT'S TAKING PLACE ON THESE.

HERE'S SOME PHOTOS THAT WE'VE GOT FOR GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL.

SOUTH GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL THE WORK THAT'S TAKING PLACE THERE.

NORTH GARLAND HIGH SCHOOL. YOU CAN SEE THE FIRE LANES HAVE ALREADY BEEN INSTALLED.

AND SO THE PROGRESS OF THE WORK ON THE FIELD HOUSE IS ONGOING AND THE FRONT END OF THAT.

THIS IS LAKEVIEW CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL AND NAAMAN FOREST, WHICH IS THE FURTHEST ALONG FOR OUR FACILITIES.

IT'S COMING ALONG REAL NICELY. WE'VE GOT A LOT OF THE CMU FOR THE FIELD HOUSE IS NOW BEING INSTALLED AS YOU SEE THERE.

ROWLETT HIGH SCHOOL YOU CAN SEE THE FIELD HOUSE ON THE FRONT END OF THE PHOTO, AND THEN THE MULTI-PROGRAM ACTIVITY CENTER FACING THE TENNIS COURTS ON THE BACK END OF THAT. SACHSE HIGH SCHOOL THAT WORK IS PROGRESSING.

WE'VE ACTUALLY COMPLETED THE FIRE LANES ON THAT PORTION AS WELL.

SO THIS PHOTO IS A LITTLE DATED ON THAT. FREEMAN ELEMENTARY WORK IS COMPLETED.

EXCUSE ME, THE WORK IS ONGOING THERE. STORMWATER IS ABOUT 50% AND DOMESTIC WATER IS 60%.

WE ARE DRILLING PIERS FOR THIS NEW FACILITY, AND WE'RE COORDINATING MEETINGS WITH OUR PROPERTY LINE WHICH IS THE WEST SIDE OF THE PROPERTY. THERE'S ABOUT FIVE NEIGHBORS THERE THAT WE'RE COORDINATING MEETING WITH THEM TO TALK ABOUT OUR PROPERTY LINE.

THERE'S SOME PHOTOS OF THE FREEMAN ELEMENTARY, THE WORK THAT'S TAKING PLACE THERE. AGAIN, WE'VE GOT GRADE BEAMS AND PIERS THAT ARE BEING INSTALLED. AT KIMBERLIN ACADEMY FOR EXCELLENCE.

THE SITE UTILITY WORK HAS COMMENCED. WE'RE INSTALLING THE STORM LINE THAT'S NEEDED FOR THE BUILDING PERMIT BEFORE THE BUILDING PERMIT, AS PART OF IT, AND THE EXCAVATION FOR THE FOUNDATION PAD AND GRADING THAT'S ALSO TAKING PLACE FOR THAT CAMPUS.

THERE'S SOME PHOTOS OF THE KIMBERLIN ACADEMY WORK. LAKEVIEW CENTENNIAL NAAMAN FOREST LAKEVIEW CENTENNIAL UPDATE.

WE'VE GOT WE HAVE STARTED THE WORK ON OUR NEW TEMPORARY ENTRANCE FOR OUR MAIN ENTRANCE SINCE WE ARE ACTUALLY DOING THE RENOVATION WORK AND FOR THAT. EXCUSE ME. THAT'S NORTH THAT'S NAAMAN FOREST HIGH SCHOOL. AND SO THAT WORK IS ACTUALLY COMMENCING ON THE TEMPORARY ENTRANCE.

THE LAKEVIEW CENTENNIAL HIGH SCHOOL THAT WORK IS ACTUALLY WE'VE GOT CONSTRUCTION FENCING GOING ON A LITTLE BIT OF A COORDINATION THAT WE'RE DOING WITH LAKEVIEW CENTENNIAL.

WE HAVE EXISTING THE LAKEVIEW CENTENNIAL FIELDHOUSE AND THE MULTI-PROGRAM ACTIVITY CENTER, WHILE THE PROJECT ACTUALLY SITS ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE PROPERTY ACCESS FOR OUR UTILITIES COMES OFF OF HAYMAN ROAD. AND SO WE'RE WORKING WITH THE PART OF THE PROJECT IS TO RELOCATE THOSE UTILITIES OFF OF HAYMAN ROAD BECAUSE OF THOSE RELOCATIONS OF THESE UTILITIES THAT ACTUALLY IMPACTS THIS PROJECT WITH THE ADDITION OF LAKEVIEW CENTENNIAL, WHICH IS ACTUALLY RELOCATING THE ADMINISTRATION AREA.

SO THERE'S SOME COORDINATION BETWEEN THOSE TWO PROJECTS THAT ARE TAKING PLACE WITH THE TWO DIFFERENT ARCHITECTURAL FIRMS AND THE TWO DIFFERENT CONTRACTORS.

SO WE'RE WORKING THROUGH THOSE MATTERS, ALONG WITH THE CITY OF GARLAND ON THAT.

AND SO WANTED TO GIVE YOU AN UPDATE ON WHERE WE'RE AT WITH THAT PROJECT.

THIS IS SOME WORK. THIS IS A TEMPORARY ENTRANCE THAT IS TAKING PLACE, WHICH IS A TEMPORARY ENTRANCE FOR THE EXISTING ADMINISTRATION AT NAAMAN FOREST. AND SO WE'VE GOT THAT WORK ONGOING WITH LEE LEWIS.

THE ELEMENTARY AND PRE-KINDERGARTEN PLAYGROUNDS.

WE'VE GOT LUNA IS 100%, ARMSTRONG IS 100%, AND SEWELL IS AT 100%.

AND SO YOU CAN SEE THE WORK THAT'S TAKING PLACE THERE.

WE'VE GOT PLENTY OF WORK THAT'S GOING ON AT ALL OF OUR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS.

WE ACTUALLY DID A RIBBON CUTTING TODAY FOR SEWELL ELEMENTARY.

AND THEY WERE VERY EXCITED THAT THE WORK THAT'S BEING TAKEN PLACE ON THOSE PLAYGROUNDS.

AS A REMINDER, THIS PROJECT REPLACES TWO PLAYGROUNDS FOR EACH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND PRE-KINDERGARTEN CENTER.

SO NOT JUST ONE, BUT TWO. SO THESE ARE SOME OF THE WORK THAT TOOK PLACE EARLY ON.

FOR ARMSTRONG ELEMENTARY, THIS IS THE EARLY CHILDHOOD, AGES 2 TO 5, PLAYGROUND.

AND THEN ON THE FENCING PROJECT. THIS IS A PHASE ONE BID PACK SEVEN.

THIS IS THE ELEMENTARY FENCING PROJECT. CONTRACTOR WAS APPROVED ON AUGUST THE 12TH.

WE HAD TO SOLICIT IT FOR THAT. AND WE'VE GOT PERMIT REGISTRATION AND ACQUISITIONS.

WE'RE WORKING THROUGH THAT WITH THE CITY. WE DID WANT TO TAKE A MOMENT AT THIS TIME WITHIN THE FENCING PROJECT.

WE RECEIVED BIDS FOR WHAT WE SOLICITED, AND WE AWARDED BASED OFF OF WHAT WE SOLICITED.

SINCE THE AUGUST 12TH DATE WE'VE BEEN WORKING WITH THE ARCHITECT AND THE CONTRACTOR ON A MATERIAL CHANGE SELECTION, AND WE WANTED TO SHARE THAT WITH YOU TODAY. JUST KIND OF GIVE YOU SOME ADVANCEMENT OF WHAT WE'RE DOING.

IF YOU KINDLY BRING THAT TO THE FOREFRONT HERE AND WE CAN SHOW YOU WHAT WE'RE DOING.

SO ONE OF THE THINGS ABOUT THE ELEMENTARY PROJECT FENCING PROJECT IS THAT PROJECT ACTUALLY HAS TWO TYPES OF MATERIALS.

WE HAD A DECORATIVE FENCING PIECE THAT WOULD GO IN PORTIONS OF THE FRONT ENTRY OF THE FRONT SIDE OF THE BUILDING, AND THEN WE HAD CHAIN LINK FENCING ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE BUILDING.

WHAT WE'RE DOING NOW. SO WHAT YOU SEE THERE IS THOSE THE THREE RAIL SAMPLE THAT YOU SEE THERE IS WHAT WE ACTUALLY SOLICITED FOR THE CONTRACTORS. AND WE RECEIVED BIDS ON.

WE HAVE RECEIVED AN ALTERNATIVE MATERIALS SELECTION FROM THE AWARDED CONTRACTOR FOR A TWO RAIL SYSTEM A MUCH MORE DURABLE TWO RAIL SYSTEM THAT IS A DECORATIVE METAL. HOWEVER, THAT IS FOR THE ENTIRE PROJECT.

SO WE WOULD ELIMINATE ANY CHAIN LINK FENCING OR CYCLONE FENCING AT A COST REDUCTION FOR THE DISTRICT, SO THERE WOULD BE A COST SAVINGS TO ACTUALLY DO DECORATIVE FENCING FOR THE ENTIRE CAMPUS, AS OPPOSED TO HAVING A MIXTURE OF BOTH DECORATIVE METAL AND CHAIN LINK FENCING OR CYCLONE FENCING.

AND SO THIS IS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE LOOKED AT, AND WE FELT THAT THIS IS A VIABLE MATERIAL ALTERNATIVE THAT WE WANTED TO GO WITH.

WANTED TO BRING THIS TO YOU AND LET YOU KNOW YOU CAN TOUCH IT, FEEL IT.

IT'S VERY, VERY DURABLE PANELS THAT WE WILL BE PLACING AT THESE CAMPUSES.

BUT IT GIVES IT A MUCH MORE SEAMLESS LOOK ACROSS THE ENTIRE CAMPUS AND A MUCH MORE SEAMLESS LOOK ACROSS THE ENTIRE DISTRICT.

AND SO THIS IS WANTED TO BRING THIS TO YOU AND LET YOU KNOW THAT WE'RE VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY.

THERE ARE SOME COST SAVINGS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS, BUT MORE, MORE IMPORTANTLY, IT'S WHAT THE HOW IT PRESENTS ITSELF TO OUR COMMUNITY AND AND HOW THIS LOOKS FOR OUR DISTRICT. YES, SIR.

JUST REAL QUICKLY. HOW TALL IS THE FENCE? SO BY TEA STANDARDS, IT HAS TO BE SIX FOOT TALL.

SECURITY CAMERA REFRESH. WE RECEIVED REVISED PROPOSALS FROM THE APPROVED VENDOR AND PURCHASE ORDERS WERE SUBMITTED TO THE VENDOR AND EQUIPMENT ORDERS WERE PLACED ON AUGUST THE 12TH FOR THE PART ONE.

EXCUSE ME FOR PHASE ONE, FOR THE SECURITY CAMERAS.

THE SECURITY CAMERA. EXCUSE ME. ACCESS CONTROL FOR OUR PART ONE, PHASE ONE.

THOSE ORDERS WERE MADE ON AUGUST THE 18TH, AND SO WE'RE COORDINATING TO GET THE START DATE SO WE CAN START THE INSTALLATION OF THE REPLACEMENT OF THE ACCESS CONTROL.

AND ON THE DOOR HARDWARE MADE SOME VERY EXCELLENT PROGRESS ON THAT PROJECT THERE.

WE REALLY THINK THAT WE'RE PROBABLY GOING TO BE FINISHED BEFORE DECEMBER.

WHILE THE HARDWARE INSTALLATION HAS US GOING THROUGH DECEMBER, WE THINK WILL BE COMPLETE BEFORE THEN.

WE HAVE ALTERNATIVE SPECIAL PROGRAMS, BUILDINGS.

THOSE ARE THE ONES THAT ARE STILL ONGOING. NOW, WANTED TO MAKE SURE THAT WE ADDED A NOTE HERE FOR THE COMMUNITY IS THAT BY CHANGING ALL OF THE DOOR HARDWARE AT EACH CAMPUS TO THE MEDECO X4 KEY SYSTEMS. WE'VE HAD IN THIS DISTRICT, WE'VE HAD MULTIPLE KEY SYSTEMS. CORBIN RUSSWIN HIGH SECURITY ONE, A CORBIN RUSSWIN A DIFFERENT TYPE OF KEY SYSTEM AND A SERGEANT KEY SYSTEM.

SO WE'VE HAD AN EVEN BACK WE'VE STILL USED TO HAVE SOME BEST KEY SYSTEMS. SO WE'RE MOVING AWAY FROM ALL THESE DIFFERENT TYPE OF KEY SYSTEMS TO HAVING ONE KEY SYSTEM FOR OUR ENTIRE DISTRICT.

I HAVE TO TELL YOU, I'M PRETTY PROUD OF THIS PROJECT BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW OF ANOTHER DISTRICT THAT HAS TAKEN THE EFFORT TO DO THIS.

THIS IS A HUGE UNDERTAKING. SO I THANK THE COMMUNITY FOR REALIZING THE IMPACT OF WHAT THIS DOES FOR OUR FOR OUR SAFETY AND SECURITY OF OUR STUDENTS.

AND THE MONTCLAIR ELEMENTARY, THE ABATEMENT IS COMPLETE AND THE DEMOLITION.

I WANT TO LET YOU KNOW THAT THE DEMOLITION FOR THE MONTCLAIR PROJECT, THAT THIS IS A GMP, AS IT STATES THERE, THERE'S GOING TO BE TWO GMP'S. WE ACTUALLY SOLICITED WITH OUR CMAR OUT TO THE STREET.

SO WE'VE GOT DOCUMENTS THAT ARE OUT TO THE MARKET RIGHT NOW FOR THE DEMOLITION OF MONTCLAIR.
