THE TEA AND REGION 10 RECENTLY CONDUCTED AN INTRUDER DETECTION AUDIT AT ONE OR MORE OF OUR CAMPUSES.
THE AUDITS TEST WHETHER A CAMPUS IS ACCESSIBLE TO AN UNAUTHORIZED INDIVIDUAL.
THE AUDIT PROVIDES US WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE A SAFER LEARNING ENVIRONMENT FOR OUR STUDENTS AND STAFF. WE ARE WORKING CLOSELY WITH OUR DISTRICT SCHOOL SAFETY AND SECURITY COMMITTEE TO ENSURE THAT WE ARE TRAINING ALL OUR STAFF AND SECURING OUR DOORS FOR THE PROTECTION OF EVERYONE AT OUR CAMPUSES.
WE KNOW THAT THIS WORK DOES NOT END. WE APPRECIATE THE BOARD'S SUPPORT. WE ACKNOWLEDGE THAT PARENTS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS ARE LIKELY VERY INTERESTED IN THE DETAILS OF THE AUDIT RESULTS. I KNOW WE HAVE A JAZZ BAND WEST FROM THAT'S IN MIDDLE SCHOOL.

WE HELD DOWN THE FORT WHILE MOST OF OUR CREW WAS DOWN IN HOUSTON FOR THE BIG TASA/TASB CONVENTION.
AND WE WERE THE GISD BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE GARLAND CHAMBER GOLF TOURNAMENT.
SO WE HAD TO WE HAD TO RECRUIT A LITTLE BIT OF HELP TO FILL OUT THIS TIME, SINCE WE WERE SHORT, AND THE HELP REALLY HELPED. WE FINISHED IN SECOND PLACE.
I DON'T KNOW IF THAT WOULD HAVE NECESSARILY HAPPENED, BUT FOR THE HELP.
BUT WE'RE GOING TO SAY IT WAS JOHNNY AND I THAT DID THAT.

AND SO I REALLY APPRECIATE THAT. I ALSO, DURING THE ATTACKS OF TASB CONVENTION, DURING DELEGATE ASSEMBLY, I WAS ELECTED TO THE TASB BOARD OF DIRECTORS.

IT IS A NEW AWARD REPLACEMENT WITH THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS PROCUREMENT METHOD, AS WELL AS THE CONTRACT TERM OF SEVEN YEARS WITH ANNUALLY RENEWABLE OPTIONS. PART OF THE PLAN TOO IS WE WILL, OUR GOAL IS TO GO LIVE WHEN WE START THE NEW FISCAL YEAR IN JULY OF 26. TYLER MUNIS KNOWS THAT THIS IS A SHORT TIMELINE.

SO THE FUNCTIONAL GAP ANALYSIS THAT YOU PERFORMED SHOWED THAT THEY HAD SOME GAPS.
OR THERE WERE SOME THERE WERE SOME VERY MINOR GAPS.
WE SHOT FOR THE MOON. I MEAN, WE ASKED FOR A LOT AND THERE WAS JUST SOME THINGS THAT.
THOSE GAPS AREN'T GOING TO. THOSE WERE NOT CRITICAL GAPS THAT WE CAN WORK THROUGH THROUGH PROCESSES.

WAS WORKING OFF OF THAT CONTRACT. THEY IDENTIFIED SOME SAVINGS AS A RESULT OF USING THE CURRENT PROVIDER TO PROVIDE A WI-FI CONNECTION IN LIEU OF USING THE OTHER CONTRACT.

SO WHAT WE'VE DONE BASICALLY IS THERE WAS A $4,000 SAVINGS BY SWITCHING FROM THE OTHER CONTRACT, AND BUT IT DID REQUIRE US FOR A $22,000 INCREASE TO MAKE THAT PURCHASE.BUT BUT OVERALL, THERE WAS A $4,000 SAVINGS. AND THEY WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE ADDITIONAL SERVICES THAT THEY WOULD RECEIVE WITH THE WI-FI OVER THE CELL PHONE CONNECTIONS FOR THOSE DEVICES THAT WAS FOR THEIR GPS TRACKING AS WELL AS ENGINE DIAGNOSTICS.
